The McCain Stench

Mccainwoops Steve Benen has an interesting article about how some journalists who were longtime admirers of John McCain have now come around to seeing what an empty, sorry sack of shit suit he is. (Not convinced of that?  Click on "McCain" in the category list to the left and mosey through those posts until you puke.)

Benen quotes Jonathan Alter of Newsweek, who says that McCain is "a surprisingly immature politician — erratic, impulsive and subject to peer pressure from the last knucklehead who offers him advice," and TIME magazine's Joe Klein, who says he was "wrong" to think that McCain is "an honorable man."  [See Benen's article and links.]

Gee, these guys can't be thinking of the same John McCain I'm thinking of -- the one who, today, offered his dear wife Cindy (yes, the very same CinBot-9000) as a candidate for the topless (and occasionally, bottomless) "Miss Buffalo Chip" beauty pageant. [See Kathy G's take on that incident.]

Yup.  The bloom is coming off the McCain rose.  And what's left is starting to stink.
