Now, the moronic congressman in the race for Kennedy's Senate seat, Michael Capuano, has announced that HE, TOO, might vote against the health-care reform bill because of the abortion provision. This is too rich. The only two refrains in Capuano's entire campaign have been these: (1) that he is the true liberal heir to Teddy Kennedy's legacy, the only committed protector of the kinds of programs Kennedy promoted; and (2) that he, alone among all the candidates, has legislative experience and understands the imperatives of legislative compromise. Now this putz, who was never going to get my vote anyway, is slavishly scurrying to protect his flanks, worried that he might lose voters to Martha Coakley (see below). Good lord! What a pack of idiots. This is what is wrong with electoral politics in America. The candidates are all crazy!
