The good news out of Washington is that Governor Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas has agreed to serve as Secretary of Health and Human Services in the Obama Administration. Finally! Over the past months, she has been mentioned as a possibility for a number of posts, including Vice President (I personally believe she would have been better than Biden). In any case, it appears that Sebelius will not have the dual role that Daschle would have had -- serving both as HHS Secretary and as health "czar" in the White House. Who seems headed for that latter job? It appears that in a Cheney-esque move, the White House is zeroing in on none other Zeke Emanuel! ("We've searched the country far and wide, and it turns out that the very best person for the job is the Chief of Staff's older brother! Quelle surprise!")
In any case, the other (politically incorrect) part of this good news about Sebelius is that the Obama Cabinet finally has a female hottie!
